Tammy has been working in the field of body mind awareness since 2003 when she started
teaching yoga. She trained as an Anusara-Inspired yoga instructor, which fueled her
already intense interest in the human body, movement, and structure. These passions
lead her to the Rolf Institute in Boulder, CO where received her certification in Rolfing
Structural Integration.
Tammy’s approach to Rolfing is to work collaboratively with her clients. She invites each
person to investigate their bodies and the overall experience to allow the work to integrate
on many levels. A deeper personal expression in every way is the goal of her work.
When it comes to yoga, Tammy’s teaching is steeped in playfulness, exploration, and alignment of
body and mind. Her clear language and heart centered approach allows each student to unfurl at
their own pace. Individual creativity and investigation are always encouraged with a goal to
unveil the goodness, worthiness, and supreme nature of each student and every being.
Tammy continues her yoga studies and practice with Mitchel Bleier, Dr. Douglas Brooks, and John
Friend. Her education in Rolfing never ceases through continuing education courses, conversations,
reading, and moving.
Tammy graduated from Carthage College in 1999 where she studied business, chemistry, and
mathematics. She has worked in chemistry labs and corporate America before making the leap to
wholistic wellness.
